Cody Moss – Keyboards
Cody is a 14 year old pianist from Surrey. His love of music began when his older brother introduced him to smooth jazz pianist Brian Culbertson; from then on he adventured into more artists and styles, trying to learn and pick up their virtuosic ways of creating music. Consequently he began being taught by well respected jazz musicians including Julian Joseph, Kit Downes and Ant Law, along with the guidance of Jaz Moss his older brother who opened more avenues to explore and enjoy playing music in. He soon found that playing with and watching fellow musicians was the most successful way of developing his playing career.
This encouraged him to audition for the Purcell School of Music, which subsequently allowed him to be surrounded by valued musicians in his student life. He found time to watch and listen to the great artists including Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller and Earth Wind & Fire. Cody aspires to reach his full potential as a musician and make a living from his passion, but presently he is enjoying learning from musicians such as George Duke, Burt Bacharach and Take 6.
Cody joined the band his first year at Purcell in 2015, and can most commonly be seen
playing Nord Keyboards.
